Larry Gene Sell, 74, of Keaau died Oct. 11 at Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home. Born in Nebraska, he was a retired U.S. Navy radio operator. Visitation at 9 a.m. Friday at Ballard Family Mortuary. Service at 10 a.m. Burial at noon at Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery No. 2. Survived by spouse, Barbara Sell of Keaau; son, Tim (Tingy) Sell of Texas; daughters, Tami (Rick) Schmit of Wisconsin, Angela (Steffan) Harder of Germany and Kathy Blair of Texas; sister, Sharon (Pat) Baird of Wyoming; five grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Mary Kalikimaka Samoy, 73, of Waikoloa died Sept. 16 in Honolulu. Born in Waipio Valley, she was a homemaker. Visitation from 9-11 a.m. Saturday at Kohala Landmark Baptist Church in Kapaau. Service from 11 a.m.-noon. Survived by husband, Toribio Samoy; sons, Darren Samoy and Toribio Samoy Jr.; daughters, Denise Samoy and Michele Smith; brother, Joe Delostrico; sister, Miriam Guerpo; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.
